Kristi W. Richard

Kristi W. Richard is a member of McGlinchey Stafford, PLLC, resident in its Baton Rouge office.  She advises clients across the United States in the areas of insurance regulation and compliance. Kristi represents insurance companies and producers in the structuring of credit insurance policies and programs, ancillary products and services, as well as form, rate, and other filings. She has advised a Detroit Big 3 manufacturer in connection with the client’s initial foray into aftermarket sales of ancillary products, including motor vehicle service contracts, guaranteed automobile protection, tire and wheel protection, and the like. Kristi also works with several national and state-chartered banks, as well as captive and other finance companies on its financing, offering and obligations related to motor vehicle and consumer good voluntary protection products.  Kristi’s other practice interests include corporate mergers & acquisitions and commercial finance.  She is an active member of the Consumer Credit Industry Association, the American Financial Services Association, the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys and the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association.  When not travelling and enjoying time with her husband and two young children, Kristi can be found among the stately oaks and broad magnolias of LSU, where she teaches Business Law to college juniors and seniors.
